1915

The first full year of the war.

1916

In 1916, the third year of the war.  During this year the Germans attempted to "bleed France white" at Verdun, and the British strove to breakthrough along the Somme river.

  1918

This year saw the German military had high command attempt one final large-scale offensive on the Western Front.

It took effect at 11am on 11 November - the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.  The war was over!!!!!
